Behind These Walls

When Faye and her mom move halfway across the country for a fresh start, she doesn't expect her new life to be all that different from her last. She had always remained unnoticed and that was more than fine with her.

She is almost immediately proven wrong when a misunderstanding with the school's bad boy, Alec Stone, attracts the attention of half the student body. While Alec refuses to apologize to Faye, his best friend, Ryan Hammond, has no problem apologizing for him. Ryan seems kind and genuine but with a best friend as cold and distant as Alec, can Faye really trust him?

Despite wanting to keep her head down and make it through the school year unnoticed and unscathed, Faye finds herself making friends and actually enjoying the new town she moved to. But for someone who is supposedly not hiding anything, Faye never seems to want to talk about her past. And the closer she finds herself getting to the new friends she has made, the harder it is to keep everything from unraveling.
