Taylor is a senior in high school, trying to figure out who she is, and struggling with mental illness. She's also dealing with her brother being in a psychiatric ward, and her mother not being herself.
I'll be updating it chapter by chapter weekly :)
"You can't keep living like this. You can't pretend it's okay, and that one day you'll wake up and it'll all just be fine, because it won't. The way you live in this reality in your head, is unhealthy. Sometimes, I'm not even sure you you remember I'm real" Ethan quietly says to me, taking a hit of his cigarette. He looks down, and I can tell he has a million more things to say. I don't say anything at all. I can't remember the last time I really had anything to say to someone that they would understand. Most of the time the thoughts didn't even make sense to me.
"You always live on the edge of death. You never buckle your seat belt, and you rarely look both ways before crossing the street. I'm not sure you would think twice if you were on the edge of a bridge, I just don't know how you make me feel so...so lost."
He says. He stands up and begins pacing back and forth, and I close my eyes because I can't bear to watch any longer.
"That's the thing. Broken people are dangerous, they make hell feel like home."
