In the Society, there were a few rules; 1) Do not step outside the Borders until you have your wings. 2) Do not interact with Mortals until you have your Wings. 3) If you break these rules, it's punishable by death, or worse. 

When Melody breaches both rules, it's her brother's duty to bring her back. But what happens when they both think that interacting with Mortals is for the better, and not for the worse?
