Alexandra has quite the life. She was left by her father after an accident claimed her mother's life. She was diagnosed with chronic insomnia a few years ago and now uses that to her advantage when she takes up two jobs. She works as a part-time waitress and at night, a DJ at Club Vixen. It can't get worse, can it? When she is once again diagnosed with a condition, this time anorexia, she throws herself in her work. She starts working more and more there is no one there to help her.
Then she meets Aiden, a guy with swaggering confidence and a job as a bartender at Club Vixen. He's perfect for her and she feels herself slowly liking him more and more. A match made in heaven. Apart from the fact that 'Alex' dresses up as a guy! Can she keep her secret or will her life unravel before her eyes?

Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things.
