Week after week girls are taken from Ileana's village, nobody knows why but it sure is suspicious and scary. One day Ileana is taken herself, and ends up in the royal palace where she meets a very handsome guy. Because of him she finds out why she and the other 12 girls are taken and what life is planned out for them. Ileana and her new friend will do anything to stop this...
The story is set in a very practic world. The people live in wooden houses without electricity, cars don't exist - only carriages, the women wear corsets with beautiful dresses, men wear simple trousers with blouses. I guess you could compare it a little to the life style from Outlander. The royals are in charge and the citizens have nothing to say.
