Vividly Dreaming

This was actually an essay that I had to write for my English class. But because I like it so much, I'm thinking about turning it into a novel and want people's opinions.

Blurb:
Since the appearance of the monsters known as Dreameaters three weeks ago, the world has started to crumble. Ninety percent of the adult population has been wiped out, leaving only teenagers and kids.

Aaron and his little sister Nina have lost their family, and are now struggling to survive. A strange incident occurs one night, which makes Aaron wonder if defeating the Dreameaters is actually possible.
