Aled and Cassandra are bound by an arranged marriage that neither one of them asked for. Cassandra agrees out of love for her family and the hope of giving them a better life. Aled, on the other hand, accepts the marriage to honor his grandfather's final wish.
They attend the same school, yet live in completely different worlds. Aled is cold, distant, and unapproachable; everything Cassandra can't stand. He barely acknowledges her existence. Still, despite his indifference and sharp edges, Cassandra is determined to make the marriage work. Little by little, she pushes past his walls and finds her way closer to him.
But when she finally does, she discovers that Aled is hiding something.
