Humanity is living in a divided world of two different tribes.
But humanity wasn't always like this, once its people worked and lived together in harmony. But then all of that changed when the mutations began.
At first, it started with people becoming a new gender which were classified as Omega (the submissive gender) and Alpha (the dominant gender) but then people weren't just becoming the genders they were also being born as them. This started to create the divide between the people.
But the mutations didn't stop there, later on Alphas started to become insane almost like they were rabid and would isolate their mates from others. After that, they wouldn't be seen again.
The attacks solidified the permanent divide between the Alphas and the Omegas, separating them into two villages.
They thought the divide would last forever, until the mutation brought along a new trait. The Bond virus, a virus that caused the infectee to have a digital clock appear just beneath the skin of their left wrist. The clock would show Years, Months, Weeks, Days, Hours, Minutes and seconds to when an Alpha and an Omega would meet as mates.
Along with the clock came another edition, a month before the two meet colored lines would slowly appear on the affectee's arm and would spell their mate's name with the color that best suits their mate.
When the virus first appeared, the people were overjoyed thinking it was wonderful to have a soul mate. But later on, they started to become afraid of the mark and would banish any Omega that had the mark.
Enter Eren Jaeger, an Omega with a unique strain virus that shows him not only one clock on his wrist but two. One on his left and one on his right. Wanting to go against fate and choose his own path, he runs away from his hometown on his trusted black beauty horse Mikasa ( named after his friend who got taken away when she had her mark.)
Will Eren succeed in thwarting destiny or will he succumb to his biology?
Every omega knows what their life will be - a childhood in servitude to eventually be auctioned off to the highest-bidding alpha, bonded to them, and then spending the rest of their life making babies and essentially catering to the alpha's every whim. Some don't even have names until their alpha gives them one.
That's what the young avian grew up expecting, until President Schlatt visits the town and decides to buy and free all the omegas. But things get complicated when a rebel group intercepts the avian for ransom and - being naïve, inexperienced, and off suppressants for the very first time - she becomes entangled in a plot to overthrow the current government, all while being constantly manipulated and overwhelmed by her own blossoming omega instincts.
