Two nations collide during a period of turmoil.
Literally.
As fuel becomes more scarce and winds become stronger, it's becoming harder and harder to pilot the giant floating islands that make up the territories of each nation away from each other. And that makes for a very interesting political dilemma; what do you do if you're enemy is drifting uncontrollably towards you?
You're first option is to drift the other way. The second is to push back. We did the latter, and now we're broke. No fuel, no food, little water and hundreds have already lost their lives; our only option is to surrender. Or, we can preform an over the top espionage mission to steal vital technology for sustainable energy production from a previously neutral nation.
Yeah, we'll do that one instead.

The people of Cambaar split into two sides over the final battle. Lorelei still doesn't believe it will work. As the war rages forward relationships unravel. Sanity is lost. Food, water, and land, all luxuries we've taken for granted, have been slowly looming down on us as a possible issue of the future. But that was just it. An issue of the future. So we ran and ran until we were backed right into a corner. The future has now become the present, and we can no longer run. So how does humanity respond, when it's very existence is threatened? My Glide On Death
The year was 2098. I was a spacecraft and jet pilot during an era of relative peace. No robotic apocalypses, no zombie outbreaks, no meteor showers-nothing of the sort. Humanity had even established a presence on Mars. Yet, beneath this calm, a sinister force was thriving on the Red Planet. Whispers of a terrorist organization began circulating, hidden within the colonies. Now, they have completely seized Mars for their own dark motives. This group, The Mars Philanthropics (MP), had a name steeped in irony. They claimed to be "lovers of mankind," but in reality, they were far from benevolent. Their so-called charitable mission concealed a darker agenda. I wasn't a member of the military. Instead, I led my own organization-TAF (Terrorist Annihilator Force). Though small in size, we boasted the most seasoned and capable operatives. When the government realized the extent of MP's influence, they turned to us for help. This wasn't just another mission-it was a call to action against the most pervasive terrorist group in history. I'm regarded as the best spacecraft pilot, but this mission will challenge everything I've ever known. But now I face a choice more difficult than any before: let my friends-who are like a family for me-die or kill a family member who is nothing more than a stranger to me. Will I complete the mission? Humanity had a dream to Explore and conquer the oceans , But that all changed when an unknown enemy appeared known as the "Sirens" humans were pushed out of the Seas by the Sirens advanced weaponry and humanity began to descend into a Dark age. Siren attacks had become frequent enough that humans were on the Brink of annihilation. However one Day humanity found a way to fight back against the other worldly threats, using mysterious objects known as wisdom cubes, the K.A.N.S.E.N. were created from said cubes. With the power of Warships embedded into their bodies, they allowed humanity to fight Back against the Sirens and begin to reclaim what was once lost. But divisions in beliefs on how to deal with the Sirens, threaten to obscure the original threat they came together to fight and turn humanity and its protectors against each other, either caused by Siren influence or the actions and beliefs of major nations leaders, or a little bit of both, one thing is for certain. No matter when or where it happens.... War, War never changes. However sometimes all it takes is a small change somewhere, a Flap of the wings of a butterfly, an Action taken, or an Action not taken. The Smallest changes can Alter how history will play out. The Bigger question I would like to Ask... What will be the catalyst that starts the winds of Change THIS time? The Azur Lane Alliance, a powerful force created in the first world war and expanded upon with the intentions of fighting the Sirens as one, while at the same time preventing another large-scale war like the great war from coming about again, via gathering all the major powers under one flag. But like all good things, it doesn't last forever, and due to differing options, ideals, and repeated acts on both sides to contradict and hurt the other via diplomatic channels. The alliance begins to shift, and finally the cracks became a split! This split brought about the return of war! Full scale, large scale! The two warring factions in question, was Azur Lane, and Red Axis. Azur Lanes primary fighters being Eagle Union, Iris Orthodoxy and Royal Navy. For Red Axis, the main contenders being Iron Blood, Sardegna Empire & Sakura Empire! Ships of the Sakura Empire struck Eagle Union ships by surprised not long ago, and this action dragged the Eagle Union into the conflict without giving them a choice to ignore or try and stay out of the out-of-control flames, we call war. Meanwhile, the Iron Blood slipped into Royal navy-controlled waters, and a scuffle between the two countries flag ships was set into motion, that ultimately ended with the Royal Navys Flag Ship HMS Hood sent to the bottom of the sea. News of her death would send shockwaves across the WORLD! That would be FELT across the lands, oceans and mountains by all.
