Two nations collide during a period of turmoil.

Literally.

As fuel becomes more scarce and winds become stronger, it's becoming harder and harder to pilot the giant floating islands that make up the territories of each nation away from each other. And that makes for a very interesting political dilemma; what do you do if you're enemy is drifting uncontrollably towards you?

You're first option is to drift the other way. The second is to push back. We did the latter, and now we're broke. No fuel, no food, little water and hundreds have already lost their lives; our only option is to surrender. Or, we can preform an over the top espionage mission to steal vital technology for sustainable energy production from a previously neutral nation.

So we ran and ran until we were backed right into a corner. The future has now become the present, and we can no longer run. So how does humanity respond, when it's very existence is threatened? Does it respond with words? With ideas and theories? But what if that doesn't work? Does it respond by blade? How will humanity take on its biggest enemy yet... itself.

BOOK 2 After chaos destroyed, America fell into pandemonium and there was no communication with the U.S. After a pandemic crisis on the East coast, most civilization was abandoned near the Atlantic Ocean. After that, the world slowly began to fall to pieces and almost every country made a scramble to figure a way to make space travel easier so they could colonize a planet. But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country. Some band together to make right communities and others rough it out by themselves, scavenging for a living.

This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!

Humanity had a dream to Explore and conquer the oceans , But that all changed when an unknown enemy appeared known as the "Sirens" humans were pushed out of the Seas by the Sirens advanced weaponry and humanity began to descend into a Dark age. Siren attacks had become frequent enough that humans were on the Brink of annihilation. However one Day humanity found a way to fight back against the other worldly threats, using mysterious objects known as wisdom cubes, the K.A.N.S.E.N. were created from said cubes. With the power of Warships embedded into their bodies, they allowed humanity to fight Back against the Sirens and begin to reclaim what was once lost. But divisions in beliefs on how to deal with the Sirens, threaten to obscure the original threat they came together to fight and turn humanity and its protectors against each other, either caused by Siren influence or the actions and beliefs of major nations leaders, or a little bit of both, one thing is for certain. No matter when or where it happens.... War, War never changes. However sometimes all it takes is a small change somewhere, a Flap of the wings of a butterfly, an Action taken, or an Action not taken. The Smallest changes can Alter how history will play out. The Bigger question I would like to Ask... What will be the catalyst that starts the winds of Change THIS time? Years ago there was a blackout. One day all the lights went out. The cars stopped running. Electricity no longer existed. Nothing that ran on electricity works anymore. People panicked and tried to survive for as long as they could. Some made it out of cities the others stayed. Our government fell and militias took control. The Monroe militia took over. Then one day he found electricity again. He used it for bad and soon conquered the whole world. Years later our world now runs on electricity again. The Monroe militia is still in power and they force teens to go into an academy to train as merciless killers. This is where I go. One question I always have in mind is, In a world where hope is the only thing we have, Can love exist in the middle of all this war?
