Bram Stoker was and still is the world acclaimed writer of gothic horror bestseller "Dracula", amongst many other gothic novels. However, what made this pacific victorian man imagine such a terrible creature as the bloody vampire? Was there anything in his quiet, methodic and organized life that could ease the creation of such a monster? A secret perhaps?

Short Story.
Fanfiction based on the Tv Show "Houdini and Doyle" episode "Strigoi". STILL, it may stand on its own, as I took the care of explaining most of the spoilers.

106 parts Complete Mature
Book 1 of (The Awakening Series) {#1 Supernatural} {#1 Paranormal} {#1 Lycans} {#1 Vampire Romance} {#5 Royalty} The world went to shit long before I was born. Humans like me use to believe other species were nothing more than fictional characters, myths, or figures of one's imagination. But that was before vampires left the shadows and decided to reveal their species to the world. I've been told that teenage girls use to fantasize about being swooshed off their feet by those mysterious creatures. Insane. Matter of fact, insane would be an understatement, they were fucking lunatics. Vampires are not some fictional character that would love you like no other. No, vampires are not some sort of myth, and they most certainly are not, a figment of anyone's imagination. They are very real, and they despise the human race. In fact, they have enslaved my entire species and formed a new world. Each continent is owned by a ruthless, bloodsucking, barbaric, the vampire king. Every single one of them has played a part in the war of the awakening, showing no mercy, killing without question. Humans didn't even stand a chance. Our army and world leaders were killed or imprisoned in less than a couple of days. They slaughtered my race, but it didn't stop there. No, that was only the beginning of human suffering. Trust me when I say the death was truly a kindness, because anyone who survived the awakening, would beg for death. I was positive that my suffering would come to an end when I turned eighteen. I was hoping and praying to be marked as a feeder, nothing more, nothing less. Death was the only way out of this world. You see, all of the kings who ruled over the earth were cruel and calculating. They are all tyrants in their own right and they all answered to one vampire. Who was known as the most barbaric of them all and I was marked as his chosen. The King of all Vampire Kings. "I ignored the anger I had felt all night and morning. I had always wanted to marry for love, and this didn't feel like it. My lifelong plan had come to an end, and it wasn't because I succeeded. Father had forced my hand because he was worried about me being alone. I could handle it when the time would come, but it wasn't anytime soon. I didn't understand his concern then as I do now. I heard the doors above the stairs creak upon and the shuffle of skirts following. I forced myself to keep my eyes upon the window as my heart started to race from nerves. This was it. This was the moment that would change my life for better or for worse. I thought of my father and how upset with him I was. This wasn't the life I wanted. 'Sire.' Franklin whispered, already facing the direction of the stairs. 'Your bride is here.' I held my breath. Despite my hatred for Invea and this plan my father had come up with, she didn't deserve to be the brunt of my anger. I needed to be civil. I represented Transylvania. I kept my eyes upon the floor as I turned, unsure if I was willing to face the truth just yet. I didn't feel ready. 'Don't be rude. She's watching you.' Franklin whispered into my ear before stepping away, letting me have the moment on my own. With hesitation coursing through my veins, I began to raise my eyes to look upon her; upon my future wife. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I finally saw her. My heart stopped, and I momentarily forgot how to breathe once I saw her smiling down at me. For the first time, and hardly the last time, in my life, I was left utterly speechless." ~~~ The beautiful cover was made by dysanic. ❤️ Want more content? This gothic horror is set in an alternate universe in the Regency and Victorian Eras. _________ In 1814, Lady Marienne is left for dead on the streets of London. With her final breath, she makes an oath to the Goddess of Darkness, cursing herself to an eternity as a vampire. Marienne's lover, Lady Elisabeta, believing her to be truly gone, flings herself to her own demise. When Lady Marienne rises from the grave, she finds that the love of her life has ended hers. In her moment of despair, she calls upon the Goddess of Moons to bring back her lost love, inadvertently cursing her to reincarnate as a werewolf. Eighty years later, Marienne tracks down the reincarnated Lady Elisabeta, only to find that she has no memory of her past life and is now engaged to a Mr. Jonathan Harker. Marienne will take back her lost love, even if it means setting the world on fire. Lovers reunite in a dark entwining of souls; a morbid wedding of ghouls and ghosts. _______________ Warning This is an erotic romance and is rated mature (18+) for explicit content (smut, lol), as well as dark themes and potential triggers - blood/gore, and there's some murder (cause it's a vampire book, duh!)
