"You guys are getting adopted" Charlie says. She is in charge of the foster care and all the foster care kids that live here.

"Will we still live here in Illinoise?" Cole asks from the top bunk. 

"No. You guys will be moving to Los Angeles. These people cannot have kids and they have been taking in kids who won't get adopted for several years now."

Cole punches the bed hops down and walks out the door. I smile with that smile that says 'sorry'. I go to run after my brother but she steps on front of me.

"Thank you Max. I'm so sorry this is a big change for the both of you." She says pulling me into a hug.

I mouth 'it's ok'. I move around her and go after my brother.All Rights Reserved

Being part of the Smith family gives her some different effects on the the guys around her and some people don't take too kindly to that.
