Walls are the foundation of buildings. They keep them tall and strong. They protect what's on the inside, from the cruelty of the outside world. Walls are hard, cold stone. Walls are safe.
As my fists fly back and forth, I feel the cold stone under my knuckles. With each hit, my body cools and my face becomes harder. I feel the wall inhabit my body. I feel my muscles tensing as my fists fly quicker. Sweat beads on my forehead and my breathing picks up. I push my hands forward with as much force as I can, the echo of the impact hollering around me. I continue to hit the wall and I close my eyes, trying to ignore the pain
