"Oh by the way Ariel, when I'm not at work. Please call me, Heath," Mr Brewer says to me, winking and then walking off. Leaving me behind the coffee shop counter. "Ariel, you okay? Who was that?" Nick asks, concerned. "That was my new, my new, my new. That was my new English Teacher." Ariel Forbes is a Year 11 student at School Road High School, she is 17 turning 18 and living alone. Her parents moved interstate and she refused to move. Ariel is working at a coffee shop and is happy. She has her friends over often and is a rebel at school. She is a troublemaker, and has had multiple suspensions. But what happens when the new English teacher Mr Brewer comes? Heath Brewer is a 22 year old, and is a new teacher to School Road High School. He has been told about a few students, but there is one he hasn't been told about. When he takes 11T English, will he be able to control the class? Maybe he can, but can he control one of the students? Would you do something forbidden, to be with the one you love?

Just one more year. One more year and I would be out of this place, safe, no longer in danger. That is, if I even made it to graduation. Hope wasn't even a thing on my radar until a stranger with bright blue eyes called my name at the bottom of a hill. He was kind, warm and he acted like he might actually care about me, the problem was...he was my teacher. How could I push him away when all he wanted to do was help me live? Can I believe what he says? Can I trust him? Or is my fate of dying before I get my diploma sealed in the stars? Here's to senior year.
