Docile Quinn impassively watches the rager heating up around him. Blue solo cup in hand, he drowns his hands into the thick, dark, mass of his hair. In a far off land, where red solo cups filled with Vodka dominate, apple juice was Quinn’s drink of choice.

Tired of arson, tried of pills and filthy parties, Quinn doesn’t want to drag himself home in the dead of night anymore. Lengthy rigged video game lock-ins, rendezvouses with the town dealer, and snagging his brother, Jace, out of mayhem; only to be dragged back in again, rugged and exhausted are what fill his time. Gradually, his gentle frame is aching, and apple juice filled solo cups aren’t so satisfying anymore.
Quinn tries to hold in the dark, sardonic, nature lurking deep beneath all the roundabout nights before breaking.

No more ragers.
No more pills,
drug dealers,
drunk truck drivers, or
lurking around at night.
No more blue cups.

THE BOY IS THE NEXT ONE TO GET MARRIED" I blush intensely but Jace didn't seem bothered by it. After awhile the speeches started and I dragged Jace out of the reception hall and into a vacant upstairs room. In the room there was an ugly orange couch against off white walls, a computer on a desk with a rolling desk chair. There was a hideous marble carpet. He and I take a seat on the couch without turning the lights on. We sit inaudibly in the dark, with just the moonlight lighting our faces. "Jace, I wanna ask you something." "What is it?" He asks, clueless. "Okay I know that I haven't always been the nicest, and I haven't exactly been there for you but, will you maybe go out with me?"

Getting in loads of trouble or 'fun' has he called it. From fights to kisses, fire to ice water, and a sunny day to clouded night. These two are not a like. No way shape or form. Like every other bad boy and good girl/ nerd story is right? But this nerd takes a bullet for her best friend, literally! But Mr. Trouble himself is another bullet for Melanie to dodge. Each one has a past, scars that all to fresh. Both strong in different ways, I mean why is Melanie so secretive about her past with her family? Why is Jace keep coming back to a girlfriend that is clearly off her rocker? The two best friends stick to eachother swearing off the three annoying boys. And the boys stick to the bro code to be single and free, well Jace tries to be at least. But yet again, is it really that bad to get shot by cupid's arrow? Hold up, cupid is going to need a lot more then an arrow to shoot through the hearts of one of these's teens. It's time to break out the machine guns.
