Twisted Skin

Mary Elena is the last of the LaMorts: legends among hunters. It was nine years ago that their manor was brought low by a last stand against Hell's Hordes. On that day, Mary Elena lost everything. Her family and the friends who fought with them were slaughtered and devoured right in front of her, her home was torn to stones, and the LaMorts were thought lost forever. She set down her stake and fled to Halifax where she tried to live as normal of a life as she possibly could, hidden among city lights and shadows. For a while it worked, until late one Sunday she received an impossible phone call:

It was her father.

"They're here," he said, "and they're coming for me."

She will not lose him again.
