Jay and Nya were living their biggest dreams. They started a lovely family together, and nothing was stopping them from living life to the fullest. Well, that was until the Overlord decided to pay the lovely couple a visit..
He wasn't aiming to get the golden weapons, nor was his goal to possess Lloyd's powerful element. His goal was to destroy Jay's life. Starting from hurting the people he loved, to hurting him both physically and mentally.
As long as there is light, there will always be shadow.
Will Jay defeat the Overlord for good?
Will any person get hurt?
Will there be any sacrifices?
And the most important thing, will Jay and Nya find peace again?

(Takes place after Hands of Time and before Sons of Garmadon). Since Kai and Nya found out what happened to their parents, they feel whole. As for Cole, well, after all those incidents, for some reason, now he feels even MORE separated from the team and doesn't know why. He gives them the chance to a new life. How will the siblings cope with the drastic transition from being neglected in an abusive household to living in a peaceful monastery amongst kind and caring people? How will their broken mindsets and crippling fears affect them and their parts in a prophecy? Jay and Nya are just in a park enjoying their picnic together as a lovely couple until they get attack by some bad guys that are all wearing black. They're attacking Nya and Jay and there fighting them back. One of them were gonna shoot Nya in her back and then Jay sees this so he runs and pushes Nya out of the way and Jay gets shot and dies.... The strangers left and Jay was dying in Nya's arms. He told her something then just like that Jay's electrical blue eyes were gone they turned grey, his smile for once in his life was a blank face. Nya cried and cried. She finally snapped out of it and carried Jay home and told the others. She thought that they could help him but they couldn't it was no use. Nya cried and cried in Kai's arms. Jay was gone forever.... Or that's what they think..... Two weeks later Nya is at the mall and sees Ronnin and he told her that Jay is alive.
