[Completed] Sirius Black has been disowned, Remus Lupin is struggling with the reality of being a werewolf. Neither of them knows what their futures hold. When Remus doesn't show up at Hogwarts, Sirius is faced with the challenge of moving past old quarrels and helping his friend. Is he worthy of Remus? Is he worthy of his friends? Warnings: Some homophobia, implied childhood abuse, physical fighting, coming out Exciting update! Part 2 is now being posted under the title "And Yet, The Sun Still Rose - A Collection of Wolfstar Stories." I also have a Regulus fanfic that is complete and available to read if you are interested! Part 2: Sirius and Remus are in love, but the world is shifting, and the Marauders are growing older. Soon, they will have to leave Hogwarts and find their own way through the world among the growing turmoil in the wizarding community. These are stories of love, friendship, family, and sometimes pain that shape the Marauders during their final years at Hogwarts and beyond. Most of what you are about to read was written around three years ago during a difficult period in my life. I won't go into the details of such things here, but I can say that writing about the Marauders, often daily at the time, was an escape for me and what was initially a plan for a cohesive second installment of my "Mirror Moon" story quickly changed into something that resembled a collection of moments. I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within. All I hope is that these stories can bring you joy, entertainment or even just a short escape as they did for me all those years ago.

Set in an alternate world. AKA no magic ~~~ Walburga and Regulus have lived in America for three years. First moved from London due to Walburga's job. After three years Walburga is told to go back to London but Regulus doesn't want to leave and proposes Sirius comes to care for him in America. Walburga agrees and Sirius comes to America where he reunites with his old friends James, Peter, Lily, and Marlene. He also meets Regulus's new friend Remus Lupin who was a friend of James' after Sirius left. The two click almost immediately and form a bond like no other. ~~~ Notes: Regulus is still in his last year of high school with Peter while the rest are in College. !TW! What if James was in love with Regulus as well as Lily? After Sirius left for Hogwart he left his younger brother, Regulus Black behind to deal with their parent alone. Now, Sirius has made new friends and left his family in the past. Regulus knew things were different the moment Sirius didn't come home for the holidays in his first year. Now, Regulus is at Hogwarts, although his and his Gryffindor brother's relationship is completely different. Eventually, Regulus starts getting dragged along to the Marauderers hangouts and develops feelings for his brother's best friend. (Bare with me, the first 10 or so chapters are probably crap but it gets better) Tw: Please be aware of the fact that there may be intended mention of child abuse at certain points throughout the fic but I never directly write it.
