{A Sherlock Holmes Fanfiction}

----------

Sherlock Holmes thinks he's the only consulting detective in the world. And he's correct, to an extent.
Freya Beck is a consulting detective in her own right. She grew up just outside London, studying in law enforcement and excelling to the top of her class in Cambridge. The unique way her mind is able to piece together bits of information and remember even the slightest detail sets her apart from everyone she meets. Until she meets Sherlock.

The tall, machine-like man named Holmes is at first uninterested in what Freya and her mind have to offer. But when Lestrade calls in Freya for the particularly unusual case concerning serial suicides, Sherlock and Freya have to learn to work with each other. Although the two have their similarities they also have their differences, which makes it difficult to get along. But with the faithful help of John Watson, Freya and Sherlock slowly become friends. Or as close as friends that someone can get to Sherlock.

This is the story of an animated, high-spirited girl and an austere, impatient man and how they bring out the best in each other.

{SUMMARY: EDITED} Follow the exciting life of the consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes as him and his flatmate, John Watson, try to catch James Moriarty, a consulting criminal who is only known to them as the "Invisible Man". However, it isn't long until both find out his true name, and the detective himself finds out his true identity. Things get turned for the worse when Sherlock comes up with what he believes a clever plan, a plan that he keeps secret, in order to beat the consulting criminal at his own game. But it could be that Moriarty has messed with the sociopath's mind. . . Which means he may be going mad. But despite all of this, and keeping this secret away from John, Mr Holmes is a restless man, and he will not stop at nothing until he has caught---and stopped--- the enemy(Dr.Watson, however, is less determined). With an IQ above average and being a highly-functioning sociopath at best, and a detective partner who happens to be a doctor at his side, Sherlock is on a wild hunt in which the scent gets nearer. . . . But the trail is getting fainter every time he is one step closer. The game is on. . . {FANFIC WRITER'S NOTE: The reason why I edited the summary was because I realized I turned it into something totally different than how I planned it. Fortunately, it has turned out better, haha. And so, in this Sherlock fanfic, rather than focusing on the detective solving cases, it's focused on his confrontation with James Moriarty and how he tries to defeat him. Some things are like in the TV Show, but I'm going to make things different or add stuff. I hope you've enjoyed it so far!}

And John is one of them. When Sherlock comes from being in his Mind Palace for longer than he thought for a case he was solving, he finds out that a sudden apocalypse has taken over London, and a mysterious disease has plagued half the population, and they litter the streets. To his horror, John is somehow caught with the disease. The consulting detective finds himself on the most dangerous, and overwhelming case he has ever been on, one that will test his love for John. And that case is to find a cure for his best friend before he loses him to the strange, apocalyptic disease forever. And Sherlock is prepared to walk right through hell, if it means finding a cure for the one man he loves most in the world. ⚠️ ***TRIGGER WARNING*** ⚠️ This fanfic is rated M for a reason!
