This is a story. Yes, but not in the traditional way. Not the one you're used to when the boy meets girl, they fall in love, break up, get back together, break up and get back together again. Not the one where the girl gets stalked and there's some retribution via a harrowing season finale ending. No, this isn't about geometry and it's not about the DMV. It's not about waiting for a concert. We're not crossing it either. It's just a story about a place you go all the time. Or if you're one of the forty somethings that come in here, maybe you've "never done this before". It's about the people who work there. It's about the shit you put them through. The times you made them smile. The times you brought them food. The times you did the most ridiculous things we still talk about. It's about the times they wanted to slap one another and possibly you too because you don't know well...anything when you come to see them. And if you ask them for one more large anything, you'd better run like a chicken in Puerto Rico because it is indeed your neck.

They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice.
