"Fiora!" Belial cheered, licking his lips at the sight of her. Fiora walked until she stood a few feet away from him and his demons, and placed a hand on her hip. The glare in her eyes resembled hell's fire. "How I've missed you, lovely! Look how you've grown!" He clapped his hands together and approached her. He grabbed her hand, and motioned for her to twirl. Fiora did as he silently instructed. He laughed giddily. "Beautiful!" He approved. Fiora turned to face him.

In a world overrun by demons, Havens are the only safe place for all creatures alike. Kindred's are the universal protectors of the innocent, the only beings truly capable of killing demons. Unfortunately, so few of them are left.

| Mature Romance | In the bustling expanse of Linkon City, a talented Hunter worked for a prestigious Association revered for its vigilance, she patrolled the streets with unwavering resolve and a strong moral compass-until the day that compass began to falter. It all started with a wanted poster, its edges curling and the ink slightly smudged, yet the image was near unforgettable. The face of Sylus, the city's most notorious criminal, captivated her imagination in ways she never anticipated. With raven hair framing sharp features and piercing eyes that seemed to hold secrets darker than the depths of the night, he became an enigma that haunted her thoughts. Each day, she found herself drawn deeper into his mystery, yearning to unravel the man beneath the crimes. At first, she tried to dismiss her fascination, treating it as nothing more than idle curiosity. But as days morphed into weeks, the line between duty and obsession blurred. A plan began to take shape, a reckless scheme to catch Sylus' attention and draw him out of the darkness. But swallowed in her own desires, she overlooked the danger that lurked not only within the shrouded corners of the city but within her own heart. She became blind to the truth: she was not the one in control. The more she tried to wrap him around her finger, the more she unraveled herself. She was playing with fire, unaware of the impending burns that would soon leave their mark on her soul. Little did she know that the shadows she thought she navigated so expertly were already closing in, and the flames she sought to ignite would scorch her in ways she could never have imagined.

❅| "Even a vastness can no longer shelter you... or engulf your dream." ⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰ [UNDER EDITING/REDRAFTING - latest chapter: 11] To a world seemingly shrouded in a cloak of safety and eternal peace, death is an unimaginable concept. Yet for those whose rule of life was mere survival, perhaps that's a different situation. For those who stood in the face of adversity, for those who refused to give in to the castigation of their lives, life has no sweetness to it. Merely the bitter tang of a blood-chilling revenge. To avenge a loved one or perhaps even their own pain, the murderous intent behind their deceitful eyes is unmistakable. For, to them, lamenting about the past is a life lost to the cruel hands of fate. - What happens when a woman as brilliant as the morning sun provides a haven in one's dreams? What happens when she, despite the agonies life carries, says to abandon everything right here and now and leave? Alcestis did not need to be told twice. Seizing the chance to escape the horrible clutches of her grandparents, she sets out to find the Elementals-a band of heroes protecting the human realm from those that lied beyond, headed by her parents. She knew of the darkness that festered within her; she knew of the hatred that danced in her heart. More than anything, she knew the extents of how fragmented her soul was. What, perhaps, would unfold when she sets out on her journey, leaving behind the world she knew; leaving behind what hopefulness remained in her battered heart? None would heed her an answer, indeed. None save for the rage that tainted her being.
