Sixteen-year-old Maylee O'Connor hasn't had the best life. Maylee was abused by her dad from the time she was eight till the age of fourteen when Maylee's mom finally found the courage to kick him out. Three years later Maylee's mom re-marries and Maylee's stuck with the constant worry that she will get hurt again. One day Maylee's dad shows up at her house again and to get away Maylee and her twin Madi go to the bank to see a cute boy Madi was obsessing about. But when they get to the bank Maylee realizes she just walked in on a bank robbery, but there's something different about this bank robbery. Before Maylee realizes what's happening she's being pulled to the back of the bank by one of the robbers. Maylee soon finds out she's being kidnapped and for an even bigger reason then she could have ever imagined! It not for money. It not for revenge. So why was she kidnapped?

I look down at my hands and start crying again, "I-i'm sorry, Jayden." 
 He pulls me onto his lap and hugs me, I put my shaking hand on his cheek, "Jayden... I'm sorry I couldn't keep him from finding out. He said next time it's gonna be me or you... he told me I can't see you anymore." I say into his neck. 
 He pulls away from the hug and wraps his arms around my waist, "then there won't be a next time." 
 "W-w-what do you mean?" I ask with more tears falling down my face. 
 "I mean, there won't be a next time. We're running away." . . . Eighteen year old twins Vivian and Rosey, have been abused their entire life. Never loved, cared for, and always left to try to stay alive alone. But when Jayden walks in, everything changes. Vivian doesn't understand the love she feels and believes that Jayden deserves more than what she has to give him. And with every aching moment she spends trying to figure out when he's going to turn against her and become just like her parents, comes more pain. Two years after she runs away, she's left with only her lover and something she never thought she'd have the chance to love and hold. With the fear of Jayden leaving and her father finding her to finish her off, she stays alert to try to keep her family and herself safe from harm. But what if he finds them and takes all that she has left?
