Anik finds himself in a fierce battle against afghanistan soldiers in the third battle of panipat. He was mere soldier with aspiration far away from any war or blood slaughter.

Kuvira is the girl so ahead of her time .she is strong willed ,witty , humours yet with a beautiful soul of princess even if she is merely a peasents daughter.

Anik and kuvira 's path cross when he comes to her village as a new recruit in the maratha army. He is introvert , brought up in higly traditional family ,strange and mysterious. Kuvira always rubs him the wrong way .

In the town Maha-alaya there is more than some ordinary people earning their life . Magic , power battles and scarifies.

Arnav finds himself in strange combust of emotion when comes back to india after living 20 years in USA. He remmebers his childhood spend in his village and find his child self far away from what he is now .

He feel himself get attracted to kavya who is earthy yet modern which facinates him to a great level . Kavya's life is still haunted by the past that breaks her everytime she tried to stand up.

They discover soon that their life is not as easy and ordinary as it seems when arnav moves to find out about his ancestors and his communities rootes .

He finds himself in shock when he comes to know about Anik , a maratha soldier who resembles him . Is just mere considence or their is more to it

Starting two chapters are in present condition of the characters . After that starts the jouney of anik and kuvira in past ,of how they met and what lead to where they are.
