"Hey, why do you like watching the stars so much?" He asked me, looking directly into my eyes, as if they'd tell him my life story.

"Because, even though stars are surrounded by darkness, they continue to shine bright, pushing away all the sadness and replacing it with light!" I said, a sad smile forming as I remembered the words of my late mother.

Sophia, a girl who lost her late mother at the age of 12, lives with her twin brother, Luke. When an unexpected accident results in her best friend and brother being hospitalised, Sophia meets a boy on a hospital balcony.

Ben, a boy who is currently losing his mother to cancer, isn't in a good place. He has no means of money after being fired from his job for tardiness, and his younger sister is too young to properly understand what's happening to their mother. He meets a girl on a hospital balcony and it opens his eyes to how harsh reality can really be.

Both are losing something special, yet both have heart's which need to be filled.
