Adrianna Kingston is the new girl in a new town. Her mother seems like would be the best damn thing since sliced bread if Adri participated in the upcoming musical in her new school. What Adrianna doesn't expect is to find a forbidden love along the way. Forbidden in as many ways possible. Adrianna is a Freshman. Lukas Greggory is a Senior. Adrianna is by far the minority of the cast. Lukas has the main role. The young girl hasn't had her first kiss, while the maturing boy has had a steady girlfriend for the past two years. Will the two fail to fulfill a forbidden destiny? Or will Adri and Lukas defy the unspoken rules and fall harder for eachother than ever expected?

Seventeen-year-old Cassie Elwood lost her mother in a car crash and gained an unexpected guardian: Oliver O'Hara, her mom's twenty-eight-year-old boyfriend. He wasn't family. He wasn't even supposed to stay. But he did. And somehow, in the quiet routines, midnight talks, and shared silences, they became something more than just a broken girl and the man who took her in. They became home to each other. But what happens when comfort starts to feel like something deeper - something neither of them dares to name? A slow-burning, emotionally charged story of found family, blurred boundaries, and the love that saves you... and the one that might destroy everything. ⚠️ Author's Note / Content Disclaimer ⚠️ This story is a romantic drama involving an age gap, but it does NOT romanticize inappropriate relationships between adults and minors. There is no grooming, no manipulation, and no romantic or sexual involvement until the protagonist reaches adulthood. The narrative openly explores the discomfort, guilt, and emotional complexity that arise from a love that shouldn't happen and how both characters struggle with those feelings in a morally conscious, responsible way. This is a psychological and emotional portrayal of how love can grow to be healthy, respectful, and delayed when guided by restraint, integrity, and maturity. I'm very open to feedback and critique. This is a difficult story to tell, and I want to do it right. I'm not a professional writer, just someone trying to explore a complex topic with honesty and care. Please feel free to share your thoughts. Also, English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any mistakes or odd phrasing I might have missed. Ashley Sylvester is beyond happy when she gets accepted into Caden's School of Music. At 17, she's a senior there. She is happier about the fact that she can finally get out of the tight grip of her controlling father and live her dream halfway across the country. However, she knows that she still cannot disobey him. She is not allowed to talk to any boy, ever. An overly possessive father has her life all planned out. At 18, she's going to get married to the only boy she has ever spoken to-Jason. She just puts a smile on her face thinking she has this last year of high school before that. She needs to make the most of it now, and the roommate she gets is determined to show her a good time. But what if, with that good time, she also sees a certain young... Not-So-Gentle Man? Kevin Underwood is probably the most annoying living thing. But still, Ash finds herself in a weird place when it comes to him. PS, this is a musical. THIS IS AN EXCERPT ONLY. Four chapters and a Prologue will be posted. I wish to publish this book and therefore I will not post the whole thing here.
