With Magneto in prison, three members dead, and Riptide held captive at Trask Industries, Tsunami and Mystique know their mission: Kill Bolivar Trask and avenge the mutants experimented on and killed by him. But when a man claiming to be from the future warns Tsunami that their plan will not work as they think, causing a horrible war, she begins to question her loyalties. The three Kinetics are back, along with all of their distinctive teams and mutations, their relationships and families. Atlanta, trying to keep the X Men together after the war begins. Some of her friends are drafted, while a bunch of others are caught by Trask Industries. Rebel, trying to find her own way in the world so that she doesn't lose herself again the way that she did a bunch of years ago to the fear that overtook her. She tries to use her abilities that are now both quite under control, to track down younger mutants, to try and help them. Thomas is being Circuit, now working for a underground mutant network ever since Erik found himself locked up. He is finding new ways of getting in places that would be considered illegal through the electrical systems. While in the future, those same three Kinetics along with few others are fighting a clearly losing battle on the government, goin' against the Sentinels, who are specifically created to destroy mutants. Now, their future selves enact a desperate plan hoping to not only save themselves from what they are in now, but their past selves from the torture that they themselves went through, hunted down by not only the Sentinels, but the humans as well. {Set in X-Men: Days of Future Past} I only own Atlanta (Dive), Rebel (Instinct), Thomas (Circuit), and Sierra (Element). When Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr go looking for other mutants, in a great effort, to stop the world from going into a third world war, they are surprised by who they find. The first of the three that were found last is a girl who goes by the street name of a Dive, who was soon revealed by Charles without a protest from her, to be able to manipulate all sorts of water, and even turning herself into water for limited amount of times, using it to move, from place to place. The next mutant they find, is a boy that goes by Circuit. His powers were quickly revealed to be the powers to manipulate, absorb, and even temporarily to become the lightning, as well as electrical energy that he absorbs and then uses to power himself up. He is also said to be able to completely destroy metal and things made of metal if he pushes enough electrical energy through it, causing it to explode in response. The last of the three, is perhaps, the most dangerous mutant of them all. With telekinetic abilities to rival that of Charles Xavier, the girl who now goes by Second she would be a very good and very useful ally to their cause... if only they could get her to stop speaking through images in their heads. She insists with images on being called Second but they choose to all call her Instinct instead. Charles understands them all since he knows from searching through their minds, that they have, quite all of them, been through hell in their young lives. When the time comes to fight for what they all need to know that they believe in the three mutants all are to choose. Do they stay continuing to lock themselves away and only conversing with each other and on certain occasions, someone else? (If you haven't read my Conflicting Powers series then this might not make much sense to you.) It's been nine years since the last battle with Magneto. Since then the X-men's enemies has been laying low and Paiton, Alex, and Jay have been able to act like a normal family, or as normal as you can be when you're a mutant. In those nine years mutants have been showing up by the waves compared to what their numbers had been before despite a cure being available for them to take. Even Xavier's school is filling up so that the older teachers and mutants had to get houses nearby to make room. It all seems peaceful until Jay's ninth birthday; everything they had finally starts crashing down around him and his family as the entire race of mutants gets threatened to be wiped out forever. This is Jay's story of survival, sacrifice, death, and hope. (Based of X-men Days of Future Past and a bit before it happens.)
