Most of my regulars get a codename after a while. There's Bender, a guy who's addicted to many things, got his millions by making risky decisions and who doesn't care enough to maintain a real relationship, saying hiring me is much less effort. Then there's the Widower (creative, I know) who pays me to escort him to events and look pretty on his side. That's all; he doesn't want sex, only someone to accompany him. His wife died two years ago and he doesn't want another relationship just yet--not even a paid one with an escort like myself. And let's not forget about my favorite, Ares. I don't only call him that because he looks like a Greek god but because his company sells certain products to the military. Why he needs an escort only to ask for the GFE when he could get literally any woman in the world is beyond me. Also, there's also Hunter. This isn't a codename. I know him from university where we made a bet that I lost and now he showed up to make me pay my debt. It's a date we're talking about; one normal date. Hunter knows what I do for a living and he's willing to pay for our meetings until I finally say yes to that date. But Ares returns to the city and makes an offer I can't say no to, which immediately makes it impossible for me to pay my dept to Hunter.

"So are we ever going to trust each other?" "Of course we will." He says while also leaning forward showcasing his smile and pearly whites. "So confident Mr Reed." "Of course Miss James. I've read enough books. Watched enough movies to know that the unexpected always becomes the inevitable. In this case myself and you." I lean back and take a swig of water then finally respond, "We'll see if that's true or not." April James had everything any woman could ever want in her life. She had her happily ever after. However, all it took was one ounce of greed to take everything away... After 4 years of working in the same place the memories start to get harder to bear. April's worked too hard to not let anyone take this away from her, even her tormenting memories. How is she surviving? No distractions. Until one day she stumbles across a drunk Alexander Reed. This man is undeniably attractive and also one of the worlds most famous and eligible billionaires. After April helps this mystery guy he can't help but become intrigued about April and why she's so closed off. He's always been used to getting what he wants but he realises it's not an easy game with this woman. Alex goes against his own rules and want to pursue a friendship with April even if she resists. Can she get over the fact that people like Alexander Reed are the ones that caused her so much pain? Maybe they can heal each others wounds? Maybe they aren't as different as they think they are.
