Alone on an abandoned ship in space, Eddie is tasked with finding out exactly what happened on board the Explorer ship. Armed with a space suit, his wits and his colleague Scott via intercom, Eddie begins to realise some things are better left abandoned but is he really alone on board this ship?

Approx. 3700 words, this was a (sadly unpublished) short story entry to a few writing competitions including The First Line and a few literary magazines.All Rights Reserved

While dealing with the fact that her boyfriend is leaving, both her and their job, Eve is given what should be a simple assignment: escort some precious cargo across space. But it's always supposed to be easy, and it never is. All she has with her are some Spec Ops soldiers and a small crew. The trip shouldn't take long, but when she sees the cargo, she immediately has concerns. All is going well until a power failure occurs, and the cargo gets loose...

Ezra thought his grades would get him posted to a place in the Navy that reflected his ability, something like First Fleet, the Raiding Nine, or even Home Guard. Humanity's enemy the Preshk where attacking more often and Ezra wanted to be contributing directly to the war effort. Instead he got put on a Scout ship with just one other soul and sent on a five month mission out into deep space. The mission quickly becomes more than the young commander could have ever expected and the fate of humanity lies in how fast he can return back to humanity. This short story is just over 18,000 words and contains sexual content between two men, so If that's not your cup of tea.. don't read :) This is my first attempt at something like this, so feedback is welcome, though be nice :)

Called out to an asteroid-based mining facility to investigate a strange discovery made by the miners, something has gone wrong. She awakens to find the facility vacant, her spine and head hurting, with no idea of what happened. She must unwrap the mystery of what went wrong, all while being hunted by a mysterious entity...
