Summer and Alex had been best friends ever since they were 4. They never spent a day apart, they never kept secrets from each other and they vowed that when they are old enough, they would move in together in an apartment looking down on the great city of New York. As they got older, they started making new friends one after the other; Vanessa, Nick, Jamie, Malia, Katherine, Kirsten, and eventually, they became 'the misfits'; a group of teenagers with a love so strong for each other that people were jealous of what they had. They were the ideal group of friends and as they entered high school together, it was them against the world.
High school runs smoothly for Summer and the misfits as they create a freshman year they will never forget until one terrible night when Summers world comes crashing down and she loses her sense of direction; Alex goes missing and only a week later, his body is found in a ditch.
After months of convincing herself that the police are right and how she should just stop torturing herself, Summer finds something mysterious carved into the wall of a cabin just outside of town that changes the entire story. Summer finally decides to ignore what the police say and is determined to find out what really happened to Alex Heartland and see for herself who of the people she least suspects were involved in such a horrendous crime.
Join Summer and her friends as they laugh, cry, smile, mourn their losses and celebrate life and perhaps unlock the secrets and white lies the misfits are hiding to find out why Alex was stolen.
*still writing and editing!! Other than that I say this is a pretty good book to read... that's kinda biased but hey, I try! The only thing I can offer you for reading this book is the title of being a cool person, but you probably are cool already so... read it out of the kindness of your heart?*

The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything.
