A chapterless short gothic story that I made for my American Lit class in high school.
"Ava has 3 children, Adam, Violet, and April. Violet has an anxiety disorder as well as depression, so Ava neglects her. She captivates her. Violet can't go out anyway, due to frequent panic attacks. April is Ava's perfect daughter, forgetting that April and Violet are twins, she believes April to be more beautiful, intelligent, and talented than Violet. Ava, April, and Adam are the perfect family, part of a perfect garden, while Violet is a decaying flower in the midst of it all.
When Ava devolopes severe sociopathic tendencies, she becomes insane."
