A young woman who struggles with empathy finds herself moving out to live on her own. After trying for so long to be like everyone else she is tired. She isn't like everyone else and wants a place to be by her lonesome where she can be herself without worry.
In her new home she comes in contact with a rather terrifying creature. It doesn't harm her and she doesn't tempt it. But how long will it continue to return and how long will it be till it finally decides to leave the trees and introduce itself.
Rosalind will face trials and horrors as her new home isn't the safe place she wished it to be and all the while she finds herself only growing closer to the monster that continues to confuse her with its intentions.
