When Nicole Scott's father gets a new job as a guidence counselor at Ginger Vale Prep School, her and her brother, Ben,are forced to leave their small town in Rhode Island and move to Santa Monica, home of the rich. At first they both hate the change and all of their new stuck up classmates. But when Ben makes friends with some of the "in-crowd" Nicole is forced to sit with him and finds herself spending a lot of time with the prince of the school, Dimitri Clark.
Will she become one of the robots that inhabit Ginger Vale? Or will she stay true and dare to be herself?
