"I was taken into a room that one would use to entertain guests in. It was a massive dining hall draped in red curtains and dazzling black marble floors. It was beautiful. I only hoped it wouldn't be the place where my life was taken yet again by the man whom I loved oh so dearly.

Just as that thought came to mind, I saw him. He was sitting on a throne in the front of the hall. He wore a black button down, silky shirt with pants just as dark. His hair had gotten longer, his lips fuller. His eyes, however, were not foreign. I had looked into those eyes so many times I had all the little blue specs memorized. He was beautiful but cold. Power radiated from him so deeply that it sent a shiver across my spine. I wanted to know the man infront of me; I wanted to love him. But I was no fool, he was different. Darker. Stronger. Colder.

Elijah stood up and made his way towards me. If I had the ability to breathe, I would have held my breath. He was so gorgeous but yet so cruel. Surely made by the devil himself. He stood only a few inches away from me, looking down at my face. I watched his eyes as they scanned all my features. Only when they made their way back up to my eyes did he speak.

"Undress yourself", he demanded."

By a chance encounter, Lucien meets his true love, his fated. In his world, vampires and humans reside together mostly without conflict. There is a mutual understanding. Vampires need blood and humans supply it willingly in trade. Throw into the mix, Jocelyn, a sweet-smelling girl with a personality and attitude that blazes just as red as her hair. Jocelyn is visiting from a land unsettled, as of yet, by vampires where humans are still the hunters. She has only ever known disdain for Lucien's kind. Can Lucien change Jocelyn's mind before time runs out? Excerpt..... I stood up, leaned across the table, on my palms, smiled cooly, and said, "I'm not allowed to call you dinner." Her eyes widened, and she dropped her glass. The glass clanked against her dinner plate and crumbled. She immediately looked down at it and frantically started picking up the pieces. "Leave it for a servant," I sniped at her. Reginald, our head waiter, promptly appeared at her side and started picking up shards. Our servants were specially trained on how to clean up messes without having bloody accidents. She looked up at me with a renewed sense of hostility. "I will do it myself!" Reginald didn't move. He is trained to insist. "Please, Miss?" he asked quietly. He took hold of the piece of glass in her hand and pulled. She squeaked in pain and held her hand up in front of her face. It was in plain view so that everyone could see. Her finger had been sliced open. The sweet smell got so strong that it was almost irresistible. Prompt number: 11. Vampires are bound by an ancient destiny: their soulmate is always human, and this bond is governed by three rules. The smell of their soulmate's blood is irresistible, its taste is sweeter than anything else, and if the love is unrequited, it can be fatal. Fearing this inevitable bond, most vampires try to avoid it. But what happens when one of them discovers that their soulmate is a human who not only rejects them but loathes them?

~HEARTS & FANGS~ {CASSIOPEIA & GIDEON} ~~~~ 'I hate you! I hate you! I'll never be the wife that you deserve!' 'I do not want the wife that I deserve Cassiopeia because it is you that I want.' 'Then,' she hesitated for only a moment, 'I'll never be a wife still yet yours!' she promised him. 'Say that again,' he told her in a hard angry voice, 'and face the rowen,' he dared her. Despite the threat, she climbed out of bed and went to him. She tilted her head to look challengingly at him with her sharp green tear stained eyes. 'I will never be a wife much less yours,' she repeated in a terminal raspy but rather confident voice. He stared at her for a long time, simmering. The tension in the bedroom thickened greatly. Silence reigned as their stare down intensified. All in the room stood in trepidation, awaiting his eppy. 'Everyone,' he ordered in a calm yet jussive voice that betrayed the extremity of his anger. 'Out!' he finished. They all festinated out, skedaddling away as quickly as they could before anyone of them suffered from transfer of aggression. And when the door closed with a small click sound behind them, he drew her to him unexpectedly. 'You are mine,' he simply told her with surety before he lipped her. ~~~~ 🌫She knew nothing, except that she wanted out, away from him, the beast. She knew not what she wanted, especially with a damaged head and fragmented memories. But, she just knew that she wanted nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the monster that left her in perplexity. 🌫He wasn't what she thought he was. He was what she would never dream to think. He was a part of her and she was a part of him. He would never let her go. She must be there, with him, under his spell, wrapped around his thumb lest everything would go wrong. White shining skin Completed 'Her locket started glowing, and a burning sensation started on her birthmark. When their eyes locked, she felt as if his gaze would swallow her up completely. His eyes slowly scanned her body. She breathed slowly, trying to steady herself, then looked away. Even he found something strange in her. She sat in her seat and started to scan him. His eyes were dark, almost black, which stuck out against his glittering white skin. It was hard for her to look away. She felt some sort of connection to him, as if she had known him for years, but she saw him. He was still looking at her: she could almost feel his stare on herself, on her eyes, her nose, and mostly her lips. He looked hungry, as if he was craving for something. His eyes were intense, it made her so uneasy she moved around on the chair, changing position. "What's happening to me?!" She felt weird, something was wrong. She then noticed how his eyes were flickering and glowing, even though he was in the corner of the cafeteria away from her. Suddenly, his pupil color changed from black to red.
