"Excuse me? What did you just say?" She fumed, knitting her brows in agitation.
"You heard me," he replied in a deadpan manner. "You're a spoiled, self-centered, entitled brat," he finished, causing the woman before him to clench her fists in rage.
"H-how dare you speak to me that way! Do you have any idea who you are talking to? I could make your life miserable, you know that right?" She fumed, using every ounce of willpower she had to avoid slapping him across the face.
"I am fully aware of who I saved, princess," he responded, emphasizing her status. "I just don't care. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my class before they leave me here. Good day, your highness," he added, turning around to leave.
Seth Da Silva was a senior at the prestigious Kalos Academy high school. Being head of the fencing club as well as a top athelete at his school, Seth had a lot going for him. His younger sister, Melody Da Silva, was a freshman and a very studious individual who took pride in the fact that she had an older brother like Seth. Despite having different schedules, the two found themselves on the same class trip to the one and only, Parfum Palace. Being given a writing assignment for history class, Melody made sure to be on the trip.
Princess Allie, daughter of a very wealthy family and princess of the Parfum Palce, had finally turned eighteen. With her new age came a new status; eligible. In other words, she was now of age to be married. However, like everything else in her little world, it had to be done her way. After proposing a competition for her hand to her parents, they seemed open to the idea and put out a notice to all of Kalos, inviting several wealthy families and trainers to her birthday celebration where the announcement would be made.
During the party, Princess Allie takes a tumble off the balcony, straight into the arms of Seth...

Thirty two. I was thirty two now and mateless. It wasn't so bad when my sisters had been with me. well except Robin. She had married at eighteen to a chosen mate, never admitting or denying if she had ever met her chosen one. She didn't count, she was content with her life.
Lark, Raven and I had been the spinster sister's. Melody could draw mates together but ours never showed themselves. Not until a few years ago when Melody's only decent, brief, step brother Royal finished his university degree. His mother had moved into a good neighborhood in the city not long after her former husband Frank had died. Royal had spent a few years living free and wild before discovering an interest in civil engineering and planning. exactly the kind of person Raven had needed for her vast pack expansions.
It was cute to look back at how nervous Melody had been to introduce Royal to the world of werewolves and magic. I wish I had of been in the diner when Melody and Alexander had met Louis. Royal's dragon mate. Melody aways showed her heart on her face, if you were quick enough. Girl was too polite by miles.
I had instead been next to Raven in the drive when Royal and Louis had rode up to the pack house. Raven had known in an instant both were here. Raven had mated and claimed both of them in less than an hour. Louis claiming her return.
Then there were two. Lark and me. Last month at Melody's monthly Lunar Luna party. I was there with Lark, both in our costumes Melody had made for us when she took my hand in hers. "Wren. He's here." she had dropped my hand. Alpha Elijah knew Lark was his. their Mating ceremony was the very next weekend.
Then there was one. The old maid. Me.
