Ivy Madrigal. That's me.

As I glance from the back of the class, I can see Mr. Ridgewood sitting at his desk circling words out of his crossword puzzle book. He looks so at peace with everything around him; of course I would never mention that to him.

"If you keep drooling over him, I'm changing your name from Ivy to.... Sal-Ivy."

"At least I'm not looking to get pregnant."

Wendy was more of an acquaintance than an actual friend. She was more of a backstabbing fiend. We just talked to her because we felt bad for her.

She never had anything nice to say to anyone so we just tolerated her.

The true friend that supported my crush was Yvette. She had my back and never once judged my crush on my high school teacher. Yeah, the guy was a teacher but with the looks he had, it was sad he had to park that body behind a desk in a suit jacket.

My momma always said embrace your feelings, for they may only be a phase. I never knew what she meant, but now I do. I accepted my feelings a while back, but I was more worried realizing it wasn't a phase than I was accepting them.

Now I had no idea where to turn.

This story was started in March 2017, but I'm barely coming back to it now (June 2018). I'm currently editing and trying to find the drift of where Freshman year old me was trying to take this story.

Hopefully it's still enjoyable, but without further ado, click that button up there that says '+' and then add to library. You won't regret it!😉
