The only way he can get close to Ron is to go through his new family. Jackson developed a deep resentment for Delilah over the years and had to put up a façade of being friends with Brooks. He was taught to think of Della as collateral damage, but when he gets closer to the broken and battered girl, the mafia prince won't let anyone lay their hands on her.
