Catlin is awestruck
After a morning of screaming steparents, fighting demons, and evil angels Catlin was ready to believe almost anything, but the truth. According to her best friend Abby she and her other best friend Clara were Angels. Abby was the Angel of Time + Angels, Clara was the Angel of Archery, and Catlin was in the undecided section. As they arrive at the Angels school Catlin realizes that Angel Training is harder than she thought.
Abby is Tired
Demons had been showing up more than usual and Abby really was getting tired of it. After sending Catlin to train with the Angel of Strength known as Lola Lane Abby had to continue to fight the war against Lucifer. As the war continues a friend of Abby's dies and her moment of despair allows the demons to lay a fatal blow to her stomach. They need her for the war, but she's not quite sure she will survive it.
Clara is discouraged
Recruiting Catlin had really discouraged her about her own importance. Ever since her best friend India Moonstone went missing she felt like she failed her. Then there was the fact that she was the freaking Angel of Archery and they were fighting a war. As even the best fall or get injured she starts to wonder how much help the Angel of Archery will be.
