The year is 1939, 18 year old English Rose, Britannia is visiting Scotland with her father, a crippled ex-soldier and a renowned historian who takes his daughter to Inverness to escape the upcoming war and danger taking place in larger cities.
Despite loving the country and enjoying the history, Rose visits the ancient and magical stone-circle 'Craigh na dun', she accidentally becomes forced into a world two centuries before her time, a world which is also afflicted with war.
