In the year 2025 disaster struck the earth. In each country, city, and ocean, the Underworld rose, causing a massive disruption of the worlds natural energy balance. The balance between heaven, Hell, and earth was no longer stable. Demons poured from every crevice, gaining power from killing humans in their mad struggle to have one become to temporary ruler of the Underworld while Hade's was in his slumber.
The Greeks have long believed each zodiac sign was connected to a element (Earth, Water, Air, Fire).  With this energy disrupted, many humans gained control of a element and fought the demons. They however did not win.
Now in the year 2040 the earth has been reduced to rubble and ash, roamed by demons still fighting to be temporary ruler of the Underworld. Each country has zones for each element, a walled city with a king of queen of that particular element. The Fire Zone, Water Zone, Earth Zone, and Air Zone each have the terrain of their element, in and around the zone. 
However, their has always been a 5th element: Spirit.
This story opens on a teenage girl who wields spirit. What will happen when the life she knew crumbles and she's thrust out into a new world full of love and betrayal.
