"If I could go back, I'm not sure I would change a thing."
                  -	Miette Vaux

When you're the daughter of a prestigious clan of Hunters, it puts a lot of pressure on one's well being.

Now imagine if you're not living up to the expectation of said family.

That's the story of my life.

  A Hunter who cannot hunt.

Miette's a clumsy, unbalanced girl, who has been sent to train at one of the top academies in the country to hone her skills as a hunter. Her family's well-known in the vampiric hunting community, and their legacy counts on her becoming proficient in combat.

Her life takes a turn for the worst when she encounters the paranormal being, Vital, an unusual man, with traits not matching any creature she has read about.

Little does she know that this discovery will impact her life, change her world view, and take her down a long, dark road.

Will she be able to make it through unscathed, or will she meet her demise?

"I guess it's not uncommon for the uncommon to happen. There are many different creatures roaming the earth, of course you will come across an unusual creation from time to time."
                  -	Dr. Evert

Now too restless and distraught to finish college, she moves into the big city of Denver to try to figure out how she's going to go on after her shattering heartbreak. She decides seeking revenge is a good way to spend her time, until she finds herself on the wrong end of a vampire's fangs. The psychic visions that begin to plague her after her attack are crippling. Her quest for vengeance has just doubled. As she hunts for two vampires, she meets Kellan, an infuriatingly sexy vampire himself-a natural enemy she is supposed to hate-and feels an instant pull to him. And he's not going away anytime soon. He wants Ayla, but she's got no time for the silly vampire, no matter how drawn she feels to him. She's also still got Ryder wanting to build a life with her. Once Kellan finds out she's become a hunter, will he still continue to pursue her? The Lunar Effect is book one in The Ayla St. John Chronicles, and is a paranormal romance for readers 18 and older.

Elena Benton is every bit of what you would call a poster child. Raised with a pastor as a father and a loving mother she had everything a girl could dream of. She was a golden child; the kind of girl that volunteered at the church and community center, not because she had too but out of the goodness of her heart. She worked hard and studied even harder to fulfill her lifetime dream of becoming a successful accountant; she didn't waste time with partying or boyfriends but instead engulfed herself in her studies and work. She has never even had so much as a real kiss, just a one time New Years peck at the one party she went to all throughout college. To put it plain and simple she was every parents dream of the perfect daughter. When her father lands her an interning job at a multi-billion dollar company she thinks that she is on the path to success but everything changes the day she runs into Mikko; a coffee spilling man that looks like the master creation of God himself. Meet Mikko, an extremely wealthy and need I say handsome playboy. The kind of man that has women falling at his feet practically begging for a chance to get him in bed; the type of guy that can have anything or anyone he wants with a simple snap of his fingers or a sexy little smile. A man that thought he would never have a serious relationship with any woman let alone a human one; being a werewolf his life revolved around keeping tabs on his pack and women in his bed. What happens when these two polar opposites meet and start feeling sparks between them? Even more what happens when life throws them a curveball and they both end up in situations they never imagined being in? Will they be able to work through their problems and differences or will they head in different directions trying to avoid the feelings that pulled them together in the first place?

I jumped to my feet and punched him in the side. There was hardly an effect. "You're weak" he spat, walking a step closer towards me. I growled as I had had it with this blood sucking devil! My blue eyes fumed in anger as my wolf was released. I am a white wolf. Liam's eyes bulged as he saw my true form. He then smiled ready to fight. I lunged for the bastard, knocking him to the ground. His other minions rushed towards me all attaching me at once. I attempted to fight against them. They kept coming on me and it was becoming too much for me to handle. My fur had gone from a snowy white, to a bloody reddish color. So much blood. I laid down. Maybe just a minute of rest. I saw Liam walk up to me. He looked down at me and smiled. "What's wrong little wolf? No more energy?" He smirked. Then Liam was suddenly thrown to the damp ground by something, a jet black wolf with glowing red eyes. He was beautiful with his gleaming coat and strong legs. The black wolf left Liam on the ground and fiercely killed all of Liam's minions easily. He wasn't finished with his prowl, he turned back to face Liam but realized that the pureblooded vampire had already run off. Then I hear a deep growl. "Mate", and my heart stops. ------------ Alexandra's pack is mercilessly destroyed by werewolves most hated species: vampires. The species has hated each other since the beginning of time. But what happens when she finds out she is half vampire and half werewolf? A hybrid cross species who is on the run from the vampire Liam who wants to use her as a trophy. She meets her mate, Tyler, who is the leader of a ruthless pack called the Silvermoon pack. But will he be able to protect her from the relentless vampire out to get her? ----- My very first attempt at writing a book so be gentle! Many errors and typos!
