I step around the corner of the square, brick building, trying to conceal myself in the shadows. I raise my arm, aiming the pistol at the rival gang member's temple. A second before I squeeze the trigger, I see a flashback of my life, of all the events that brought me here.        I was young then, and reckless. I spent most of my spare time breaking into the block of abandoned warehouses in the ghost town near my house then.
