The Cloaked Wanderer: A Cyberpunk Story

Cyberpunk, a genre of science fiction in which corporations rule the cities, and technology has taken people by storm with the advent of cybernetics. The police rule this dystopia, do anything that upsets the police, mess with the corporations, and you're in trouble. The year is 2085, and Japanese corporations have taken rule in the city of Neo-New York City, and the spark of a new type of drug called Nano Drugs have made New York City a shell of what it once was. Nano Drugs, drugs that allow the user to receive the powerful enhancements of cybernetics without the need to have cybernetics implanted into you. There is a catch however, it only lasts for a short time, and they are completely illegal. Enter Nick Wright (also known as The Cloaked Wanderer), a 28-year-old investigator for hire who mainly investigates crimes related to the local gangs around the area. Then one day a mission calls for him to investigate the apartment of the boss of the most feared gang in Neo-New York City, The Cyberpunks. When the cybernetic hating boss, simply known as Nimbasa catches Nick in the act, he beats him up and tells him that he is sending out 7 assassins to kill him, Nick must do whatever he can to survive.
