A boy and a girl start a friendship that suffers through different life choices and paths until they reunite 16 years later. All told in dialogue.
(For those who might be interested, this is a spin-off short story of my WIP novel "Written in the Scars," which revolves around Paige's story.)

Two broken teenagers meeting in a world of depression and pretence are probably destined to help resolve each other's problems before their own. For Aidan and Otamayomi, it all started with a phone swap. But in the midst of all that, were other teenagers whose stories had remained untouched.Complete

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? There's always a consequence when she uses her powers, and she isn't sure she can handle her power anymore. She feels like she's nothing, there's nobody who loves her. There's only the people who use her, think of her as a useful 'thing' to have. They collide, and they see flickers of themselves through each other. As they get to know each other and heal, they start to realize there's something meaningful in living itself.
