But this new land is harsh and dangerous; and it is filled with creatures known as scavengers in stone castles. The war to topple these creatures will be long and harsh; full of betrayal, intrigue and violence. As dragons wrestle for control and forge new destinies, we follow the lives of the dragons who first arrived on this land.

A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. As Clue gets himself wrapped up in the prophecy while trying to find a way for himself and the others to get off the planet, they learn that there's more to this new world that meets the eye, and that they have to be careful if they want a chance to escape.
