I laid in my cave listening to the wind howl. There is a storm today so I decided to stay inside. I see a flash of lightning and hear the boom of thunder. Through the wind and rain I still hear a voice call for help. I stretch my wings and exit the cave. I feel the rain hit my scales and the wind rip past my sleek body. I take to the air and search for the voice.

The spirits would never curse me with you!" With those word I felt my heart break into millions of pieces. He didn't want the one person in the world that is suppose to love me no matter what didn't even want me. Fine if no one wanted me around then i'll do them all a favor and leave. They won't ever have to worry about me bothering them with my face ever again. Makenzie wasn't your normal female wolf. She was a bit overweight. Every day of her Jr. high/high school life she has been make fun of, pushed around, and talked about. Even her brother Derrek joined in. Just when she thought life couldn't suck even more she meets her mate, Jace Valentine, her brothers best friend who rejected her. I never asked to be the person I am now. But a girl's got to do what she simply has to do. Ever wondered why people are afraid of thunder? It's loud, frightening and it makes the roof tremble at the sound of its voice. It's the reason why kids curl up with their mums on a stormy night, and the reason puppies hide under the creek. Yet barely does anyone acknowledges the cause of the thunder; the main reason why it actually exists. But who really is the badass here? It is that quick bolt of light that emerges from the clouds and disappears in the edge of a second. It is the thing that you ought to fear. Because it is fast, silent and most definitely deadly. Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. ----- I gasped, but soon enough the rain settled the flames down, making it disappear. I flipped onto my back, making the worst decision of my life. I cried out harder, with unbearable pain shooting through my shoulder. I quickly rolled onto my left side of the body. Making my backwards leg and popped shoulder hurt a tad less. I laid there, crying my eyeballs out. The rain got lighter by the second and stars started to appear in the night sky with the thick clouds drifting away. We must've stood in silence for hours watching the waterfall while holding onto each other as though we'd never see each other again if we let go. That was alright with me. I loved holding her, and this was the perfect moment. I waved my hand in the air in front of her so she could see. The flames left my hand like they were meant to fly away. It was a trail of fire floating in the air floating just above us, but circling around us. She smiled as she watched them. I watched her beautiful smile as her eyes lit up to the beautiful flames. She did a similar movement as I, and waved her hand in the air allowing a trail of water to circle around us with the fire. Neither of us spoke. We didn't need to. It was one of those moments.
