BOOK ONE of The Argent Adventures.

When Jonathan Fabian first arrived at Argent High School of Arts, he was hoping it would be the fresh start he needed. His brother, Nathaniel, didn't care at all.

On his first day, he met best friends and potential love interests Jack and Eden, the beautiful and brilliant Scarlett, the know-it-all Reagan, and the dark and mysterious Louie.

Clearly, these people are some kind of important.

Later that night, Jonathan followed Louie through some secret underground tunnels. The next morning, he was controlling water with his mind. He later learnt that he is destined to join forces with six others (whose names have probably been mentioned earlier) to protect a very powerful sword from falling into the wrong hands.

You know, the usual...

Controlling their powers never seems to become a problem with this bunch. Instead, their true struggles involve making it to class and staying awake, differentiating friend from foe, and keeping their romantic relationships uncomplicated.

Sixteen years later, Quinn is a Junior in high school. She is going day to day learning each day that she has tasks to face. She learns that people will lie or use you to gain power. Manipulation is a big thing that she is influenced by, she also has a hard time asking for help with anything because she feels as if people will make fun of her, or people will make her think they are dumb questions to ask. Her older brother Nico is running his own business, has a fiancé and he is also expecting his first child. He tries to keep in contact with his family as much as he can, but his time becomes short as meetings upon meetings pile on top of each other. At one point he doesn't contact them at all, which leaves Quinn to worry if he is okay or not. Beth has news to tell Jonah, but he has been distant lately. She feels as if they grew apart.
