~~~The glistening branches stood before her, each individual stick staring back with sharp precision and acute features. Behind her was a trail of dead bodies and slewn creatures. A noise called out to her as she took a step into the mysterious green canopy. She turned around to see an army standing behind a solitrary man. A single tear slipped down her cheek, her hand rubbed her swollen belly. The man took a step towards her and held out his golden sword. The woman took a step back, holding up her hand for protection. The man dropped the sword, letting it clang and clatter to the ground. He held out his hand waiting for her response. Her face filled with anguish and remorse. "I'm sorry," she said as she let a white ball burgeon from her hand, leaving the man and the army shocked and blind to the world around them. When they came to, the woman was no longer there, only the shimmering trees belonging to the great canopy before them.~~~ Amara is a young girl whose heart never settles.
