Louisa and Kinsley have been best friends since their first day of college. As graduation approached, they were determined to finish their studies in style - by planning a crazy cross-country road trip to California. But when family issues send Louisa back to the UK early, they're forced to put their plans on hold, and settle for a one-year reunion instead.

Twelve months later, as the pair hit the road, it soon becomes clear that things have changed. A year is a long time to be apart from your best friend - especially when you're on opposite sides of the Atlantic. As old and new lives mix, Louisa and Kinsley realize it may have been more than time zones that left them out of sync, and that a week-long road trip could be the perfect way to get their friendship back on track.

Lifelines

37 parts Complete Mature

"I'll wait as long as you need." he whispered and I felt myself blush. Carson would wait for me. He wanted me. I cleared my throat a little which made Carson laugh at my awkwardness. "Okay. I'll uh, wait for you too." I said and Carson's face broke out into a large smile. "I'm already there." Through the ups and downs life brings, Carson and Cassie have always been there for each other. They have been the best of friends since she was nine and he ten, where they shared their secrets together at their "top secret" place in the park. She's always had a special place for Carson in her heart but when her life goes into a downward spiral it is then she realizes how much she needs him, how much she loves him. He has loved Cassie for as long as he can remember. He's closed off when it comes to other people but when it comes to her it's like another person comes out. He likes the way she makes him feel. They depend on each other. But will being each others lifelines be too much?
