Beautiful, strong, kind, bold.
Words to describe MayaBella Marie Juliet Diamanté.
Adopted at 10 months old, MayaBella had a rough childhood. Her adoptive mother died at age 8, and through grief, her adoptive father became cold and abusive. When the rest of her family turned their backs, the only one left was her amazing adoptive brother, Samuel.
It seemed she could finally find happiness when she got accepted to Stanford to become a doctor, and found an apartment with her boyfriend, Brandon. Her life was just starting to begin. Not far from where she lives, Samuel had gotten into college and found a job.
Her entire life was planned out all the way down to how many square feet her future house would be. Every thing was perfect until one fateful night when she was taken, tortured, starved, and auctioned.
But the thing is, she wasn't sold for just any human-trafficking business, she was auctioned to a merciless, evil, cold hearted monster.
She was sold to a vampire.
Fearful, shy, isolated, broken.

The cells... That was what they called it; where ever I was. I had tried to ask them so many times, but I couldn't speak. I could hear them, or at least most what they said. A lot of the time I'd only hear small snippets of conversations, as if I was dreaming. Sometimes I thought I was dreaming, but I'd come to the conclusion that couldn't be it: You didn't feel pain in dreams, right?

Amelia gets 'sold' to a vampire. Hes nice, despite what people say about him. Problem is, Amelia is sassy, and hates the fact he 'bought her'.
Blake doesn't like that fact either. He's against having slaves, but coming from such a powerful family, he's forced to get one. He treats her right, as much as he can. Unless his family come over, of course!
And as cliche as it is, everything falls into place: they put up with each other, she acts how she should in front of his family, and in return he lets her get away with things she shouldn't.
And then there's a bump in the road. Everything goes flying.
What goes up must come down, but will it fall in the right place?
