On the first birthday of an infant, a strange word appears on their forearm that refers to their personality that is chosen from 6 catergories. Just before Angela's first birthday, a fire engulfs their family home and both her parents are killed. It is a miracle that she made it out alive but from the ashes, upon her forearm was the word DEATH.
Rumours begin as she gets older and turns sixteen, living with her aunt, going to a nearby school. It's only when a new boy named Tristan comes to her school that she realises that she is not the only person with an unlucky life. Together they pair up to find out what really happened that night her parents died in the fire.
But will the answers Angela find, break her friendship with Tristan?

A town with no history. A girl with no name. An end with no beginning. My oldest memory of this place was blurry. It faded in and out of my dreams and subconscious. The details edges had been rubbed smooth long ago, but the feeling of complete and absolute terror had remained as distinguishable as the day it happened. fifteen or so years back... That fear has always kept me grounded to the forest that isolated me from the rest of the world. It kept me safe from whatever I had to run away from. Tricking me into thinking what was best for my survival, was to stay hidden. But when dangers from the outside seep into the safe haven I had created, all sense of security shatters. Suddenly the safety net is gone, and other people exist again... Some that had definitely thought I was dead. (as of 2/25) Hello! I have been writing this book for like 6 years and some parts may be iffy. I still have to finish and revise the final draft, but it is very close to being done.
