One mans will to have a life, will always overpower another's desire to end it.

A nexus, realm octun, an operational facility erected three months ago, officially made to train the solmet empire's children, is used as an induction system to find those gifted with the solstice emerate; a will, so strong, that the desires of the possessor come to fruition.

The only currently known possessor is holt lias, an ampulous, born from a family of triden, and cast out due to her difference, spending the following 13 years without any food, or any water, those who gained the knowledge grew brain tumors weeks later, and those who ran, found their way into walls. She never knew though, as she was never taught what the gift was, she only knew what she thought she needed to know, like who was who, how to get help, and how to sleep.

Though she was powerful, her mind was fragile, like a glass jar, if you drop her she will shatter. And she was falling, falling from a plateau, which began as a journey, an 89 degree climb, 10000 feet tall, death following her with the promise to pull her up when she missed a step, and she tripped, she tripped quite a bit, death always caught her, until he didn't, but she had a will, a will to live, a will to breath, a will to keep going. so she grew wings and flew. And like a glass jar, you can fill it up, with what? Well, anything that can fit, though not everything that can fit should.

At least she tried...until she decided to take a drink from a random guy. She blacked out only to wake up in a holding cell. It didn't help that she didn't remember anything that happened at the party or that the tattooed Greek god sitting next to her invaded every thought in her mind. -𐀔- "Do you by any chance have 50,000 dollars?" I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Why would a girl like her need that much money? It must have something to do with why she was in the holding cell. When she noticed I didn't answer her eyes shined with nervousness. Usually I'd like to see the uneasiness in people but, on her, I'm not so sure I like it. "Why do you need it?" I said, causing her eyes to widen as she quickly averted her eyes to anything else but me. "Well, I might have destroyed a very expensive painting and I kind of need to pay the people back-and before you say anything, it wasn't my fault, it was drunk me fault." I let out a sigh and ran my hand through my hair. "Daddy, please don't turn off the lights. The monsters will find me." Ana pleaded as she pulled the covers up to her nose. "Don't worry, Ana. There's no such thing as monsters." Frank answered before flexing dramatically, earning a giggle from her, "Besides, if they tried to hurt you, I'd just beat 'em up!" "Promise?" "Promise." He kissed her forehead before he tucked her in and turned off the light. "Goodnight, angel." --- The world changed overnight. A mysterious system appeared in everyone's minds announcing the detection of a "Breach." Monsters unlike anything humanity had ever seen before began to emerge, immediately ending one-third of the world's population. And that was just in the beginning. Every father wants to be their daughter's hero. It's an unspoken rule written into every man's DNA. But most fathers aren't pitted up against eight legged abominations. Frank was just an ordinary man; no training, no experience, just depression and a four year old. Yet, he was all that stood between Ana and certain death. If that's the way it was, then he couldn't back down. He made a promise, and he would keep it or die trying. Luckily, the world wasn't entirely merciless. This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature. While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power. Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

REVISED EDITION COMING OUT MONTHLY/COMPLETED In a world overrun by zombies, A single bite heralds doom - except for Kaindra, who defies death itself, being undead already. ******** As humanity struggles to adapt to the new reality of zombies-infested streets and lurking supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends, survival becomes an ever-evolving challenge. Survival is a constant battle not only against the undead but also against supernatural creatures and their zealous followers. The relentless onslaught of zombies and the mysterious reemergence of mythical beings push society to its limits. Civilization's last bastions fall one by one, teetering on the brink of collapse. As these ancient myths awaken, they reveal intentions that are far from clear- some may hold the key to salvation, while others could herald further doom. The question remains: Can humanity unravel the mysteries of these legendary beings in time to save themselves, or will they fall prey to the very legends they once dismissed? ___ Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away. The reflection staring back at me feels unrecognizable. My once deep, dark brown eyes now glimmer with an otherworldly light, like twin moons suspended in a sea of silver. The faint glow within them swirls softly, catching the dim flicker of flame I summoned, like ripples across a moonlit lake. Their alien intensity sends a chill down my spine. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp. ___ Warning: Mentions of suicide and self-harm Beautiful cover made by @scmimi. The updated & edited version of this story is now on Wattpad!: https://www.wattpad.com/story/43967583-forever-desires A trigger was pulled...and it wasn't mine. ※※※ Ever and her team had been locked in the arena for seven years, and throughout those seven years she has been tortured, played with and lied to. Her trust in everyone was slipping and her confused feeling for the boy she's known since she was six, was starting to pull her back -- keeping her from being who she was and her duty. Her duty was to rid the world of this terrible game called, 'The Emag', (formerly known as 'The Bloody Desires'). Why? She didn't want others to experience her pain and confusion. She wanted children to be safe -- to be loved. Not torn to pieces by machines and not starved to death. Even with her thorough planning, nothing ever went as planned. Captured. Humiliated. Tortured. All again. Ever was beginning to wonder if her plan would succeed...and if she could finally escape the abuse once and for all, well keeping her team alive. (Trailer by me)
